Overpriced! Slow service and if you use your card to pay be sure you keep the receipt because even though you sign one amount, they will charge a different amount later - as I personally came to find out. The food may be good but not the greatest at all!!
Been there several times. Good food, Nice Atmosphere, service not very friendly and slow. Tourist trap prices. Expensive for what it is and expensive for family dining. I might eat there again, but not in a hurry to go back.
I've eaten here twice within the past couple of weeks. I really REALLY wanted to like this place, and I do; but it just lacks something .
The food was fine. Not outstanding. First time out I had the lobster roll, and it was okay. Next time out was also for lunch, and I opted for the fish and chips. Again, okay. The tartar sauce made with sweet pickles was awful, though. My lunch mate has the kobe beef burger, and said it was okay if a bit dry.
The place is cute, has a good amount of brews on tap (something I look for), and prices are generally reasonable. Service was a bit scattered considering the amount of employees milling about the place It's just that the food isn't knocking me off my seat. Sure, better than McDonalds, but it has potential to be great. Maybe I just need to find the right menu choice.
I think I may make a go of it one more time and let that settle it, and make it a dinner visit.
I love this restaurant. I love the food and service. I am truly touched by their support for our boys that are and have been active military. When my son came home after being in Afganistan we were welcomed and given a wonderful dinner for 4. It included wine (2) bottles and crab legs, wonderful. Also a meal with desert that were home made and delicious
. I love their love of community. They are always there to support so many wonderful organizations. Love, love this restuarant. Food is soooooooooo good. Becca and Steve are great hosts of a wonderful place we can call home grown here in Lompoc.
Beautiful (and very clean) little restaurant on highway 1 in Lompoc. I've eaten there too many times to count so let me suggest a couple favorites...Breakfast try the country fried steak with the homemade sausage gravy (don't bother asking for the gravy recipe).
For lunch try a Kobe burger or the pastrami san. The kobe burgers are awesome, but the pastrami san is the absolute best.
For dinner there are lots of seafood choices, but I prefer the ribeye steak served smothered in sauteed mushrooms & onions. They know how to cook a steak.
Lastly, leave room for a homemade dessert. I recommend the Xangos (fried cheescake in flour pastry) with strawberry topping. Gotta be healthy with fruit on it?
