Description
The Edison - A Return To The Old World Glamour of Downtown Los Angeles The Edison presents a brilliant marriage of refined industrial architecture and art deco chic. The grand staircase of cantilevered concrete and steel spectacularly descends into the depths of the 11,000 square feet of space, culminating in a moody melange of ambers and reds set against furnishings reflecting the turn of the century. The Edison speaks to the nostalgia of the time with restored artifacts and silent video montage that revisit the early work of film legends. The Edison revives the classic hand crafted cocktail with live music & floor show entertainment, an intimate menu of upscale cocktail cuisine, and house DJs. Note: Our dress code is "Old World Style", attire that exudes a sense of elegance and fashion is required for entry. Please refrain from wearing flip flops, tennis shoes, baseball caps, t- shirts or athletic gear of any type.
BAD BAD BAD ........ Disgusting food, horrible service, very very very rude staff and the mangers tops it. Security guards are bunch of nasty people. They made $500.00 out of our table and treated us in a worst way possible. Would never go back there and I DO NOT RECOMEND any one to go.
TERRIBLE SERVICE... What a waist. The waitresses were very snooty and bad tempered. I hardly ever leave a bad review, but this has to be said. DO NOT WAIST YOUR TIME AND MONEY... GARBAGE SERVICE AND AMBIANCE! Will NEVER step foot in there again, and I will go out of my way to make sure others don't go either...
The Edison is like no other bar/restaurant I have ever been to. Very unique and ecclectic decor, incredible atmosphere, great music and vibrant feel. Great attention to detail. I would highly recommend this establishment as a must for anyone searching for a different refreshing experience in dining and/or drinking. Bring someone you love and let the environment cast it's spell. I will certainly return. A+++
Terrible Service! This establishment has some definite hiring issues and need to train their employees to give better customer service. A place that beautiful should be welcoming for the money you are spending to enjoy the atmosphere.
We went for the Valentines Day Ball, with reservations a month in advance and prepaid dinner they attempted to seat us in a hallway! When we complained that the table was unacceptable the hostess was rude indicating we were annoying her with our request to be seated at a normal table.
During our meal I would like to note that it took 20 minutes between, ordering a drink, getting your drink, and waiting for service again. When I finally received my plate it was COLD! The waiter took another 30 minutes to bring the bill and was rude the entire time. Seemed like anything we requested was an inconvenience.
I am very disappointed at The Edisor Bar for hiring such unpolite, inexperienced, prejudiced waitress, Britney. The service was slow and not once did she ask us if everything was okay or how did we like our drinks or food. Instead we were ignored then reprimanded by Britney including her rudely pointing a finger to my friend's face then she yelled at me for reminding her to bring me the water I had ordered minutes before, but instead she brought the bill. Was she trying to have us leave the establishment? I think so. She was trying to get rid of us. I'm sorry Britney if you are not happy with your job but don't bring your moody attitute and take out your misery on the customers. You are in Los Angeles now and this is a diverse place so expect to serve people of Black and Latino descent.
HOW cool is this place? The food is pretty good but the atmosphere gives new meaning to the word "electric"...destined to become part of the L.A. Downtown power scene (all puns intended).
Great Kobe Sliders and a decor that is awe inspiring 1920's speakeasy. If speakeasy's were mulit million dollar places like this. Food was surprisingly good for a club.
