Omaha/Westroads Location. Saturday night, early September, about 8:00PM- got right in, good seats. Nice decor, very upscale and pleasant without being too rich. Menu must be at least semi-seasonal- little seafood listed. Unpleasantly surprised by the prices, but I had not done any homework beforehand. Was hoping to order a steak, but could not afford it. Got the 'Overlake Sandwich'- tasty but very greasy. Accompanying fries are almost shoestring and very salty. Waitstaff was friendly, helpful, and attentive without being 'too much' All in all... I think there are better food quality choices and values in the city.

Good atmosphere and the wait staff is extremely attentive. Their in-house brews are good but the Bock is almost too dark and heavy (and I love dark and heavy beers). The food is good but almost too rich. If you like seafood then they have a great seafood ravioli dish. Their starters are enormous and can easily be substituted for an entree. They are located on the back-side of Westroads Mall (in front of the new Rave Theaters) so it can be easily missed. The atmosphere is more laid back than Upstream and easily comparable to the Nebraska Brewing Company in Shadow Lakes. The food is better than both NBC and Upstream but still misses the '5-star' mark for its limited in-house beer selections and the heaviness of their dishes. If they cut back a little on cream and butter in their pasta dishes and offered more intimate seating for couples and smaller groups then they would easily be a '5-star' for Omaha.

We always enjoy the food and service at Granite City, but last night was the best so far. Jasen, our congenial server, was at ease, in charge, professional and amusing, Wall Street notwithstanding! He suggested entrees appropriate to our preference for seafood, and made the extra effort to brew good-tasting, strong coffee for us. We appreciate that a great deal! It made the night. Thanks!

They don't take reservations, but they do have a good crab cake and the beer from the micro-brew is the best I've had (especially the bock).
