I have eaten at many italian restaurants within the u.s. and italy. As far as places within the u.s. this is one of my favorites.
The food is outstanding for the price. Comparable to that of some of the best places in little italy nyc or san francisco. Even the presentation is very nice. And portions are more than what usually comes with food at this level.
What I enjoy the most about this place is that they do not over season, or drown their foods with sauces, salts, spices the way most italian places in the u.s. do. They do it like a nice northern italian place in italy does it. Simple with good flavors and not covered up.
I've been here 3 times. Ordered the lobster ravioli once that was filled with large chunks of lobster and not just a blended mush that i have seen at a lot of places. It was very good and had a excellent sauce. NOT over buttered or salted.
If this place was in florence or rome I would give it 4 stars. But being in the u.s. AND FOR ITS PRICE range it is a 5.
What a great place!!! Bartenders and waitstaff were so welcoming that we felt like we belonged! The presentation was beautiful, and the food was amazing. Will go back and will also recommend it to everyone we know!! Thank you Prespa!
