I am a sushi snob. I will try anything once, and it better be amazing or horrific for me to write a review.
I went to I love Sushi for a friend's birthday and there were at least a dozen of us, even a toddler in tow. Not only were we taken care of well, the service was impeccable and the amount of time to make the amount of sushi rolls ordered for a dozen people(we each ordered at least 2 rolls so that we all could share), well, I had to go to the bar and watch this man work, I was so impressed. We all received our food within five to ten minutes of each other and there was literally no wait.
Obviously toddlers don't like sushi, so the waitress was happy to show us some items that he may enjoy, and she even said if he didn't like it , she would be happy to return it and not charge us. Well, turns out our little boy loves the teriyaki chicken sticks. She was also happy to split the bill for each person. When my husband questioned a possible double charge for a Sapporo, she very politely showed him that he did order two, no arguing at all, a very big smile, and it was handled very well.
Now that my husband works in Grayslake, I go at least twice a month, if not more often, it is my absolute favorite place to go for sushi, the second being Kyoto for the habachi experience. If you're looking for a nice, quiet, clean place with genuinely friendly faces, and a relaxing environment with creative, this is a very nice place to go, no matter for a date or a large group.
