Very clean establishment with very delicious food. I am not a sushi person but it s the best I ve had so far. Prices are very fair. Lunch specials are a great value. I ve been to Wasabi several times and the quality and service is consistent and great. Everything is fresh and the staff is very friendly.Wasabi is BYOB as well. The super crunchy roll and Snow White roll and Crunchy Crab salad amazing so be sure to try them.
I give wasabi 4 1/2stars out of 5,for these reason:
Pros:They have great food and half off sushi Tuesdays are the best. I think it's called the black dragon roll,it is theeeee best roll. If you want to try something different there I would suggest the Yaki Soba. The Lion dance that they did for my boyfriends birthday was more than perfect. It's a little bit snug inside so be sure to get there early on Tuesdays if you go.(The owners also have a similar restaurant up the street about 10 miles or so called sakura which is alot bigger. But they deliver sushi :D)
Cons:Recently I went there for my boyfriends birthday on a tuesday,I made a reservation first thing in the morning for dinner for my friends and I. When we arrived there the restaurant was already pretty full and the regular dinning room doesn't look like it would fit 8 people together comfortably. So I figured that we would end up sitting in the hibachi room anyway. But the waitress who sat us started to give me attitude with the way I made my reservation, saying that I should have made it clear what I was coming for and that next time I have to specify. So right there I was made uncomfortable BY MY WAITRESS. As a customer I am not there to deal with her bad attitude and especially not while I am taking my boyfriend and his friends out to eat FOR HIS BIRTHDAY.The meal and food itself was amazing and everyone else who helped were more than polite. But then the same waitress brought out our checks and to three people in our group gave them separate checks which was what they wanted, but then she only took the one check and card and ended up charging our friend for three meals. Which would have been fine if left as a simple misunderstanding and corrected, because check mistakes happen. But she again gave my friend the same attitude she gave me earlier and told her that she should have specified before she took the check. My friend was not pleased with her attitude either. And the next day found out that the waitress did not correctly void the check and she was then charged 4 times, it is settled now. But my point, avoid the one waitress who wears a red kimono. Even if the customer is wrong there are other ways to handle things that don't anger or put the customer off in the process. Her lack of knowing how to deal with simple mistakes or misunderstandings make her an unpleasant waitress.
we went to this restaurant for the first time this evening. the experience was disapointing! the service was on the slow side, even though there wasn't much business and the food was inedible.
i ordered the sashimi dinner and my date ordered dumplings and chicken maki. the sashimi was ok except for the fake crab meat. the chicken platter was the worst. the chicken was rubbery and the sauce to dip the chicken in was like gelatin. not appetizing at all!!
i would not reccomend this restaurant to anyone!
the sushi here is AMAZING!! And it's 1/2 price a la carte on Tuesday's. The sister location, Sakura is 1/2 price on Wednesdays. I hope they keep this up. the only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the service is very slow from the time that you order until the food is ready there is quite a wait, and not because they are busy; however, it is well worth the wait. Also try the seafood tofu soup. lots of seafood and a HUGE serving(supposed to be for 2) for a few dollars.
Although the outside of the building doesn't look very inviting, the food was really delicious and plentiful. There were seven of us who ordered from the Hibachi menu and we were not disappointed. The Hibachi Chef was exceptionally entertaining and added to the delight of our meal. Everyone working there was pleasant and accomodating. We would all go back in a heartbeat.
