Cancun Family Mexican Rstrnt, North Grafton

my wife is from Texas and knows great Mexican food. the food is fresh no canned beans or anything. The portions are very generous and not just filler. Highly recommend the chili con caso, carne asada, casa wings, and the flan. The margaritas are fresh made not from a mix and very reasonable. Service is consistently great and the staff is friendly and responsive. This is a true family run restaurant from Guadalahara. We go at least twice a week. don t miss it!!!!!!!

Ordered a take-out for a new dish I had never tried. It was rice and chicken. When I got home, I was surprised to find out the chicken with gravy sitting on top of my rice. The rice was mushy and no gravy left at all since it was soaked by rice. Ther chicken was overcooked. Tasted like wood chip. There weren't any bean and guco either. The dish is under Specials saying served with bean and guco. Called the restaurant but they did not care. They insisted it is the right way to serve it. I suggested they seperate the rice with gravy. They seemed to be bothered by my asking. Saying that you want rice and chicken, then there it is. Insisted there weren't bean and guco in this order, even it is printed on the menu under Specials. Even told me not to order it again. I guess I won't order it anymore, neither go there anymore. They don't care. They don't handle the business in a professional way. What a shame.

Hello all considering Cancun Restaurant The food is definitely acceptable however be very wary of the owners and waiters. I frequented the establishment for years. But I guess with the bad economy their level of service has become clearly unacceptable. My family and I were in there ordering the same thing we always get. A fajita, tripple combo and taquito bites with the guacamole and sour cream on the side and margaritas/kids drinks. The waiter asked us if I wanted to have the sour cream and guacamole on the combo plate on the side. I said sure and was a little confused cause I had never been asked that before. So when the bill showed up there was this extra $2 charge. I had no idea what it was for and thought maybe it was a plate charge cause I was sharing my meal with my 1.5 year old son (which I had also not seen before but would have paid as I know some restaurants do this). Anyway when I found out it was for Guacamole and Sour cream I brought it up that I was not aware this was an added item and asked they please remove it from the bill due to a missunderstanding. Thats when things got oddly surreal. Note I never was angry and never raised my voice...it seemed like an odd misunderstanding. None the less the restaurant went into emergency mode. The waiter blatantly refused to remove it in a rude way and said I should have known and showed me how there is a side for guac and sour on menu and thats what he was asking if I wanted extra. I said ok but I come here every 2-3 weeks and this is how you want to treat me and my family. I then said can I speak to the owner. Boy she was unwilling to bend either. We never even ate it becuase everything else came with too much guac and sour that we left most of it over from what came with all entrees anyhow. I said look I am not angry and I obviously like your establishment since I know you have seen us before, but this has never happened and its so minor its an obvious missunderstanding on both my and waiters part. But I do feel the minor $2 for principal should be removed. No way. They then told me to sign the credit card slip and leave. Yes leave! We will never go back. It is sad in someways cause we went there frequently but in many ways its a sign of how some people run a business and how some should not. I instead will go to another Mexican restaurant a couple miles further away (worth the 2$ in gas ;-) ) called Acapulco's. We have gone there for years as well never with an incident...In fact I have never had an incident in a restaurant before. So don't go to Cancun instead go to Acapulco's Enjoy a restaurant that respects the customer and not the almighty dollar. It is important to note that this was never about money to me. It was a misunderstanding. I own a business as does my wife and I can't imagine staying in business with that kind of customer is always wrong attitude. By the way this became the first time I did not leave a tip in my life...so in reality I saved more than the 2 dollars they were trying to get and they lost more money. Please don't go here unless you like being mistreated. By the way the Margaritas over the years have gotten more and more watered down.

My husband has stopped by there a few times and loved it. I went with my sister and we both were disappointed. I had taco's and she had the taco salad. The beef was unseasoned and bland and there was no flavor. We actually had to salt the food for some flavor. The tacos were very soggy, I got the hard shell and the meat was so wet is soaked the plate. So I guess I wont' go back but my husband probably will.

Fast service, wonderful food, great staff - what more could you ask for?

Who really goes to a mexican restaurant for the food anyways? We go for the drinks! Great margaritas.

I have gone to Cancuns many times and have never been unhappy with my meal. I have tryed to order diffrent items on the menu and have enjoyed them all. There margaritas are great. Sometimes the wait can be up to 30 min. Always eat at a crowded restaurant it tells you that its good. The decor is beautiful so full of color and I only wish they had a pato in the summer.

Initially I've heard very good things about this restaurant so I've been eager to try it for myself. However before I was even seated in the garishly decorated waiting area I had a sense of foreboding. First me and my companion came early in the afternoon, when there were not many other patrons waiting. We expected in the relatively slow period to be seated right away. However after standing around for about five minutes in the near deserted place we were forced to actually find someone ourselves to bring us to a table. We were given water nice warm tortilla chips with a delicious albeit soupy salsa. The chips and salsa would prove to be the best part of the meal. Once we did order our meals came out remarkably quickly. Suspiciously quickly. My meal was ice cold and served amidst some lumpy guacamole and some pathetic wilted lettuce. Within the soggy prebought tortilla shells of my quesadilla was an absolute grotesque amount of cheese and bland flavorless chicken. For a mexican restaraunt I would have expected some flavor, some zip. Alas I found none of that here. The waitstaff, while pleasant, was surprisingly unattentive, it wasn't until the end of the meal when the check was brought to us that any offers to refill drinks were made. In all if you've a craving for cuisine of the mexican variety I would bypass Cancun entirely.

After all the raves on this I expected great food. However the food was bland (this is supposed to be Mexican?). I would give it a mediocre rating. Service was good, people very friendly who work there.
