Garlic Jo's History. Garlic has been known about and used since the beginning of time. Evidence shows garlic was used by the Babylonians and Egyptian pyramid workers as far back as 5000 years ago and documented in use by the Chinese as far back as 2000 years. Science shows that Garlic has been known to reduce fevers, used as cold remedy and can also be used as a skin protector. Studies have shown that Garlic can aid in the prevention of cancer, decrease the signs of aging, improve blood circulation, reduce anemia along with preventing the growth of and even killing bacteria.
If you like garlic, then GO HERE!!! This was the most amazing garlic-y feast I have ever eaten, and I think it is my new favorite restaurant. The food was delicious in every way possible (and the fact that there were piles of garlic on everything we ordered helped). Of course, they have non-garlic courses, but then why are you here? They have a fantastic 4-course dinner for 2, which is only ~$50 total (depending on which main course you choose) for the both of you! AND, it is DELICIOUS! Whatever you do, get the garlic bread!!!
The atmosphere was marvelous, they have live music. When I went there they had jazz singers. Extremely relaxing, it's a nice-restaurant atmosphere, except that everyone there dresses very casual (and I mean jeans!). The service was superb and the garlic was even more superb!
Here is a small disclaimer: as many of you know, ingesting large amounts of garlic tends to make you reak of garlic through your pores, so if you partake in the bounteous garlic feast, you WILL stink. So make sure you take your loved ones with you, so that you will all stink and no one will be the wiser. But trust me, garlic lovers, it is but a small price to pay to eat such fabulous garlic-laden cuisine!
