If you like Indian food, you'll love New Delhi. The chicken tikka is mildly spicy and tender served on a sizzling platter of onion, peppers, and lemon. The lamb and chicken korma are served in a spicy creamy sauce that goes well with their fluffy garlic naan.(bread) or jasmine rice. The friendly staff always ask your preference so you can tell them how spicy you'd like your meal. They have a great vegetarian selection as well. Their aloo gobie cauliflower/veggie curry is delicious, the veggies are firm and tasty, never mushy. Their veggie samosas, little fried turnovers of potatoe, peas, and onions, come with two dipping sauces ~mild and hot, and are just one of their excellent appetizers. If you are new to this spicy food you should try a mango lassi,(mango and yogurt shake) it will calm your tummy in a flash. They also serve wonderful Taj Mahal beer and a variety of mixed drinks from their bar. The neighborhood is on the refurbished Bremerton waterfront, some still in progresss, and the electic shops make a charming place for an after dinner stroll. It is a five minute walk from the Bremerton ferry dock. My family has been coming here for years and have never been disappointed.
