We drove in to the hotel across the street around seven, starving, and they didn't treat us very well. We got in back in the car after a long day's drive and before going back to Rutland, decided to try Heli's. It was fate that I got to go back to my Germanic roots. That we got Annie as our server was icing on the cake. I had a lovely wienerschnizel with mushroom sauce (gilding the lily) and spatzle. My family was similarly wowed with their entrees. And we shared a heavenly apfel strudel for dessert.
If Heli's makes my Mom's kugelhopf for breakfast, I'm moving in.
