Rustix Restaurant & Reception, Humboldt

I give this establishment five stars because it is the best dining experience in Humboldt. I have eaten here at least ten times over the past year and I have never had a bad experience. The food is fantastic. Their Sunday brunch buffet is easily the finest in the area. They are also one of the few places in town that has good beer on tap. The restaurant itself is a beautifully restored old John Deere building that has an incredible ambiance and rustic feel. They have tried in the past to hold events during the night/bar hours to get a nighttime vibe, but the lame residents in Humboldt would rather sit on their porches and drink Natural Light instead of socializing over a stein of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale in a classy atmosphere. Too bad because my favorite thing to do at Rustix is grab a few beers before they close.

Definitely our favorite place to go in the area. We discovered this gem about a year ago and have loved EVERYTHING we have tried and are always treated like royality. Not to mention the place is absolutely beautiful!!!

great food and service. Have been going to the restaurant since late 2008. Rustix definetly went through a bad spell, but I beleive they are back on top. you can't beat the tenderloin sandwich and the friendly waitstaff.

I've eaten there several times the food has been cold and one time I got rice and it was hard like they never even tired to cook it after giving the restaurant several chances I will never go back. They are way too over priced for the quality of food you get. Honestly your better off going to vinnys, lomitas or changs.

We ate there on June 4, 2010. The best part of our meal was the garlic cheesebread we had first (I believe it is hard to mess that up). I ordered the ribeye. I ordered it medium-rare but more on rare side. It came out medium well (I think there is a difference between red and pinkish brown meat). My husband ordered all u can eat fish and it looked great on the outside. I grabbed a piece to try it and it was mushy on the inside. The only postive part about the nite was the waitress. Think I will have to stick to Unkies in Thor if i want a steak cooked correct.

We recently gave Rustix another chance and I have to say that we had a great experience. I have always loved the atmosphere and my meal was delicious. They have a great selection of appetizers all reasonably priced. We tried the fried portabellas. Fantastic! My kahuna burger was big and very tasty. We will definitely be back.

I was not happy with this restaurant. We ate there and it took about 2 hours before we got our meal. Never checked on to see if we needed more to drink or anything else. I will never eat here again. If you are in a hurry to get somewhere do not eat here. Go somewhere faster.

I used to eat there often. Now its a circus. I used to pass everything in Fort Dodge to eat at Rustix, but not anymore. Food is cheap. The menu says you get one thing and I got another. Parsley instead of Basil on my pasta. I've had better alfredo sauce from a can. I tried 3 times and obviously pasta is not the food they should sell. Sorry Humboldt, you almost had something going.

i ate at Rustix about a week ago and i thought the food was to cold and the warm browines were cold my alfredo noodles were tasteless and the waitress was very rude and the manager was cold and never smiled like the other manager.

great atmosphere thats all that can be said about rustix. Prices were very high for the type of food you get. better cheaper food can be found at burger king.
