Portofino Italian Restaurant, Roswell

Great food at resonable prices. The portions are large enough to serve 2, not sure what the problem was with those that said there wasn't enough. Far better than the Pasta Cafe ever was, and the management there was so friendly. Andre the manager at PC was horribly unpleasent! I will never go back to PC Portofino's has my business as long as I live in Roswell.

Having lived in Manhattan and Philadelphia, we know good Italian food, so we didn't know what to expect. The Linguine Pescatore (served like a Cioppino) and Veal Saltimbocca were both exquisite. The atmosphere is family style, small town, low-key. The service was fantastic and wine list decent and reasonable. We now live in Albuquerque and it might be worth the 4 hour drive just to eat there again! We hear they are opening another restaurant in Roswell and we hope it will be just as good! Great food, low prices, wonderful caring service!

THIS PLACE WAS EXPENSIVE FOR SUCH A LITTLE DISH! DID NOT ENJOY THE FOOD. WAITER WAS POLITE BUT THAT WAS THE ONLY NICE THING ABOUT THIS PLACE. GO TO PASTA CAFE INSTEAD!!

This restaurant is fantastic! I make a point to highly recommend it to anyone I hear is headed that direction. We went in with low expectations after stumbling across the place on our way back north from Carlsbad and were beyond pleasantly surprised. All the breads seem freshly made, the pizza was excellent, and the two chicken and pasta with sauce dishes were clearly made to order and extraordinarily well prepared. (I had saltimbocca and I can't remember what my friend had but it was a red sauce not marinara and divine as well.) We were thrilled. We love Italian food and are kind of picky about it and this was by far our best experience in New Mexico. The staff clearly knows their stuff. That other bad review must be from a different restaurant because the prices were reasonable, especially for what you get, and we were all stuffed. I can't recommend the UFO museum which disappointed us greatly, but Portofino's made the stop in Roswell completely worthwhile.

We ate here and it was the worst italian food ever! We even got sick after we ate for me and my boyfriend came out to 29$:o and we only got two meals and two drinks. On top of that they didnt even feed you much they were on little plates. The service was awful, they never checked on us and the waitress called my boyfriend a girl! anyways We went to Pasta cafe, Wayyy fancier and our bill was 23$ What is up with that???

This restaurant is better than the other Italian Restaurant. This one will not ignore you and the food is fantastic!!
