Amber Indian Restaurant, Carmel

The food quality at this restaurant is below standard. I ordered a Punjabi Curry with rice, expecting it to be Curry Chawal that you expect in Punjab/India. It did not resemble anywhere close to what it looks or tastes in India. I also ordered Mango Kulfi, which again did not even resemble Kulfi, instead it was flaked Ice of Mango Pulp mixed with milk. The service was terrible. Restaurant need to improve food quality and service to stay in business. I will not recommend this place to anybody who is looking for a nice authentic Indian Food.

When they opened/started the business the food and the customer service was very good. However since the business is now flourishing the customer service is getting bad and the attitude is poor (specially the person who is at the counter during the day time). The quality of food is going down. Seems like the owner doesnt care of the quality of food anymore. They need to get rid of that guy who is at the counter. He is rude and doesnt care. We had to ask multiple time to get the water. The bread was not served on time.

If you ever decide to have a party over there, then you need to me more cautious. The rate they initially say is something different and finally you end up paying extra $$$$. This is more or less like a auto person doing a bargain in India. They give false count and amount is also very high. I would never recommend my friends to have a party there. I had invited many friends and after the party was over i have informed them about the conversation which i had with the management. My fault was that i simply trusted them. I am still not able to recover from the shock that i have paid extra $$$$.

I hate amber indian restaurant. the food was horrible. Also i found a roach in the bathroom and also i saw the chef inside the bathroom and he did not wash his hands leaving the restroom. i will never go back again.

I went for a lunch buffet. The food was pretty good especially the tikka and chicken manchurian. The naan was good though service was a bit slow. I only did not like the desert (gulab jamun) very much.Highly recommended.Plan to visit again soon.

It's amazing! I go there every week! The people are nice, but they do keep to themselves, so they won't bug you at all during your meal. The food is great quality and if you go in enough they memorize what you order! Love them so much!

Review is only for lunch buffet. Too much sauce in dishes instead of vegetables, meat, etc. The naan is fresh but you must wait awhile to get it. slow. Overall, better food quality can be found elsewhere.

i was in amber about a month ago i loved their chat and that was actually really spice. their service is rally good and i enjoy the lunch . it is the good restaurant though . i love it
