What a disappointment! Linko's opened up with a bang in August 2006! Only to fizzle out to be a less than average Sushi joint. The cooked food was never a favorite of this reader nor any of our family members. Chicken Teriyaki is dry, the beef is not of high quality and they both taste like frozen food reheated. The only thing this reader and family thought this restaurant had going for it was the Sushi. However, Linko's lost their great chef Sushi Master Mori in November 2007 and replaced him with a new chef, that did not impress this diner. The sushi took much too long to prepare. What was once a dinner plate of 8 pieces of sushi was replaced by 4 paper thin slices of raw fish atop miniscule pieces of rice, 2 cooked shrimp also atop very small pieces of rice, a cooked eel sushi and a dumpling, very sweet and definetely NOT sushi. Not very appetizing. There was less than 1 oz of fish on the plate. The price $16.95. Soup was served, but the salad which was part of the original menu was omitted, one must assume all these decreases in quantity and quality was to increase profit. The only explanation this diner can use to explain the change is typical greed. The owners have obviously lost touch with the idea of excellent food = return customers. This diner will not be returning. A sad sad thing for a sushi lover. So, it's Back to Victorville and Toyko Sushi, where food is consistently delicious, with large pieces of sushi and satisfying cooked entrees. Oh yes, and soup and salad!
