We had a party of 8, none of us were drinking alcohol, so it seemed
the waitress was completely indifferent after that. We unanimously agreed
she was either rude, bored, or had no idea what service meant. When I paid
the bill, I couldn't figure out why it was so high. The credit slip had the tip
area blank, but it turns out they added 18% for this lousy service, not too
mention 2 or 3 bad meals. Finally, after asking the waitress to explain the bill,
she admitted reluctantly that the tip was included. I felt like she was hoping I
would tip again. So, all in all, verrrrrry disapointing.
we were stuck on the cape this last 09 rainy june, this place saved us....late nite billy joel, buffet, don maclean, elton john type of sing along stuff, day time irish music, our kids step danced to the locals gathering, and we took off a couple of nites to have our own fun. this is good old fashioned pub atmosphere, food average pub grub, and a very casual come as you are place, we really appreciated walking the 1/2 mile in the rain, and not worrying what we looked like, grabbed a bench/table and enjoyed the great music and a few brews............very fun
A home away from home, great music, barstaff are warm and friendly, all in all a fabulous experience. You want swanky food and stuck up customers? Hit Hyannis...You want genuinely friendly locals, expats and service with some excellent live music? Hit O'Sheas ;-)
Horrible service, rude waitstaff
We got a babysitter and when to O'Sheas for an easy night out. After waiting for 90 minutes for our food, we had to leave without eating. It was about 7:30 on a Thurs night and the place was not busy - several tables were open. The waitress, Kelly was rude. She kept saying out food will be out in a minute - then a manager came by to say that our Irish Stew would be right out - it never did. I had to stand by the kitchen door just to get out waitresses attention. I think restaurants forget what some people go through for a night out.
