5 year-old still talks about it a year later
By , 09/06/07
Our son was barely 5 years old (the minimum age) when his grand-ma treated him to a day with dolphins at Dolphin Quest. He loved it at the time, and it has left a deep memory. A year later, he still talks about it and proudly shows the photos of him petting dolphins to anyone who will watch.

not worth it
By dontbeapharisee, 02/26/07
If you want to go swim with dolphins there are a number of places in Cancun where they actually let you touch the dolphins and have a lot more interactions. Here basically you are paying a huge sum of money to have your pictures taken with the dolphins.

Incredible!!!!!
By CAYB, 09/19/06
This experience was the best part of our entire week-long trip to the islands. The trainers were informative, friendly, passionate about their work and truly happy that people want to learn about dolphins. The hands-on time with the dolphins was fantastic and we actually had two encounters: one with the dolphins exclusively and one where we snorkeled in the ocean lagoon and extensive time with the dolphins in their pens. A truly incredible experience for all ages! I would definitely do it again and again and again...

Bad Flipper!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/26/06
It started off very well. Everone was very nice and helpfull. However, while swimming, one of the dolphins bit my ankle, causing me to go to the hospital in nearby Keokea. It still hurts, 10 yrs later.

Great for the Kids
By TheQ!, 02/21/06
For my wife's son's birthday, we decided to treat him to some time with the dolphins. The tour guides / trainers seem to be knowledgeable in educating the kids about the dolphins, showed them a few tricks, and resulted in some entertainment for parent on-lookers. Prices were pretty up there, but the resulting smile on the kid's face made it worth it. You can relive the memories through their photography or video that you can purchase.

Liko scared the pants off me
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 11/16/05
I decided to do the Dolphin Quest Adult Encounter. I thought it was a bit pricy, but since my husband couldn't snorkel with me (darn facial hair!) we decided that since I really wanted to be in the water with the dolphins, it was something that we should splurge on (we're on our honeymoon). I would definitely recommend the DQ experience if you're an animal lover/geek/nerd like me. It was just fascinating to touch the dolphins and interact with them at such close contact. When posing with the dolphin Pele for our picture, I could actually feel her heart beating in her chest, and that was just so unbelievable. I'm very happy that I chose to do the DQ Adult Encounter. Not for those who are very frugal, but worth every penny.

Would do again in a hearbeat!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/04/05
This is a wonderful opportunity that should not be missed! We were in the water with the dolphins and were able to touch, feed and interact with them. The groups were small, 5 to 6 people, and the trainers were very knowledgable. The dolphins seemed to enjoy the human contact and were very friendly and interactive. This was expensive for the amount of time in the water with the dolphins, but it is an experience that won't soon be forgotten.
