Ajs Steakhouse, Cullman

Was a customer, visited here several times. Last time I ever go here. Had a problem with a steak. Ordered well done and received a steak burned on the outside and bleeding (I mean bleeding blood red) on the inside. Situation poorly handled. Wait staff was extremely rude....when we left, the waitress almost spilled a tray on top of me and looked at me as if it was my fault.....I will never go here or recommend because of this situation...Oh yeah, still had to pay for the steak too!

Hands down the best steak I have ever had in my 47 years. We have been in town three months with storm restoration and AJ's is by far my favorite restaurant in Cullman.

Ok we happened upon this restaurant accidentally. We are relocating to Athens from FL and 65 was backed up one day so we took the back roads and driving along didn't see places we wanted to eat at late afternoon. We saw AJ's and said what the heck. Well the prices were GET OUT ridiculous for the GOOD. I think my 10 oz ribeye was like 10.99. The best thing is drinks are a buck, yes a buck not 2 and up at most places. Yes that included refills too!!!!!!!!! Our waitress was super, super, super friendly and sweet (although I can't remember her name). Overall I will be traveling to Cullman to go to AJ whenever I want a steak. My ribeye was cooked perfectly, seasoned yummily (not sure if that's a word but it will work) and was perfect. My friend would have liked his strip a bit thicker but think he will just get a bigger one next time. Overall price is right, food is great and so was the service. 3 adult meals, one kid, 1 app and four drinks with 25% tip came to $60. WORKS FOR ME :)

My Wife and I went back to try AJ'S one more time,last night. We were disapointed again,so this will not be one of our eating places in Cullman. We ordered TOP SIRLOIN steaks,they were more like just plain sirloin. tough somewhat and excessive fat on edges.They were cut with grain and not cross grain.We will not be eating here again,this is not the first experience we have had at AJ'S.

A family restaurant which used to be a Shoneys a long time ago so they have the community type of salad bar. Steaks were Ok. They need a high quality Filet for the menu but the food and service were good for this type of restaurant.

Sub-standard service with below average quality of meat cut. No prime rib or other better cuts. Okay place for a ribeye (maybe).
