Hawaii Forest & Trail, Kailua Kona

I've never heard the word "wow" as much as I did while on this tour, from everyone in the group. The tour itself is terrific, and our tour guide, Matt, provided the perfect balance of information and personable chat to keep the experience both informative and fun. We learned, we laughed, we experienced something profound and even spiritual (and this is coming from the whole goup, which had artists and business people, young and not so young). I highly recommend this tour, and request Matt as your tourguide if possible -- he really made the experience that much more enjoyable. The only things to be aware of beforehand are #1 you may not get to see lava flow, this depends on the current volcano activiy. We didn't get to see any active lava, and I still think it was a great experience. #2 Saddle Road is VERY bumpy, so if you're prone to motion sickness, prepare for this leg of the tour (right after the continental breakfast).
