Bay Area Renn Faire
By ,
It was a great place to visit and the new area is very nice and big for special events ( the highland games were great). It is hard to tell the participatrons from the cast and staff. Everyone was very nice. Really great shows...

GOOD AND BAD
By ,
all the actors very nice and freindly. But the festival was very disorganized.we went pet week, was so great to bring you pet and we liked that idea. But there was to be costume pet contest and dog talent and both did not happen and no one knew anything. They had a sunday brunch , but that was waaaaaaaaaaay over priced for the atmosphere. And they run out of some foods and wanted us to wait 30 minutes. Plan better. they need to organize the events better. Other than that the actors were great. Especially washing well wenches both girls great and johnny phoenix.we did enjoyed but, try to get more organization with special events make announcements on loud speaker. Do not just cancel and keep with the program.. Thanks for adding pets to the festival. Everyone had well behaved pets.

money maker with no heart

If you support this show, you are supporting a money making empire who does not care about their entertainers & crafters and treats them like dirt. Very disorganized heartless organization who only cares about the bottom line!

Miss Largo site
By ,
The Tampa location does not offer the same type of atmosphere compared to the Largo site. The lack of large shade trees gives too much open area hence hotter and very difficult to find events. Other vendors didn't know where events were. The patrons were very friendly and there were some good shows. The entrance admission is too expensive. Not worth the money - vendors charged excessive for their offerings.

Wenches
By ,
This is a great event. I have gone here for several years and previously in Syracuse, NY. Although the site in Syracuse was better due to the hills and trees, it is every bit as enjoyable here. Great shows (actors & actresses), good food and fun shopping. My personal favorites are the washing well wenches (especially Izzy)! It is always a great time!! Donna

A little fantasy on Fowler Ave.
By ,
By keeping the Renfest in the Tampa area from Largo to the MOSI site on Fowler Ave, the patrons from Tampa got lucky. Closer to home but lacking somewhat of the ambiance/charm of the slightly smaller area in Largo. The Largo site was awash in Oak trees throughout the site. On warm/hot days, the Mosi site, with it's less abundance of trees, somewhat suffers. Still in it's early growing pains, some strides are evident. The permanet buildings are making a comeback-hit by new hurricane codes that the Largo site had grandfathered in. Hopefully the leather mug guy will return-pretty unigue & affordable stuff, always fun.

Better than expected
By ,
I cut my ren-fest teeth in Colorado, home of arguably one of the best renaissance festivals in the country, so the only reason I don't give this one 5/5 is because the Bay Area festival pales in comaprison. For what it is though, this festival is exceptional. We drive 2-3 hours from north Orlando every year for this. This festival could benefit from having Ded Bob perform (dedbob.com) but the current performers are still very entertaining. One of my personal favorites is the Aerial Angels - a combination of acrobatics, fire-swallowing and bull-whipping. The two aspects I look forward to every year: the turkey legs, and the costumes. The creativity is amazing.

We've been going since 1989!

We look forward to the festival every year! I have been going since I was just a kid, and love it. Everything about the festival is unique, and tons of fun. You have to go and see for yourself!

Going back every year!
By ,
Each weekend is something different. Loved the Highland Fling weekend. Bagpipes rule. Jousting is cool, too. The whole family had a great time. We'll be back every year.
