East Bay Golf Club - 18-Hole Course
At par 71 and with a length of 5967 yards from the white tees, the 18 hole East Bay Golf Club Course isn't difficult. It does boast 14 holes with water and the average amount of trapping for a Florida course. The fairways bend gently through stands of trees and the greens are forgiving targets for iron shots. The par-3s and par-5s are short even from the 6451-yard championship tees. There are two longish par-4s. This is a semi-private golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.
Well maintained fairways, more grass than I have seen anywhere in town. A nice layout with plenty of challenge, friendly staff and rates $35 with cart. I will definitely be back. And Eagle by the 16th green, awesome!
I have found the course conditions very good this summer and they have improved greatly with new owners over the past three years. Staff is very friendly and helpful and always accommodating even without a tee time. Value is good as I generally take advantage of the $22 afternoon summer rate. Unfortunately super low rates attract novices at all courses, but generally a very good experience. GPS on all the carts helps everyone’s pace of play and East Bay is the only local course with this technology. With Airco closing, East Bay has been a convenient alternative, and has exceeded my expectations. Not sure why it's still named "country club" here, the name was changed to East Bay Golf Club many years ago when they had the adjacent par 3 course and have been open to the public ever since.
My husband and sons golf there every Christmas. It is a great place for the money. One of my son's is a scratch golfer and loves to go there. I enjoy golfing with friends in the evening "Under the lights".
Great bang for the buck. While the rates at Bardmoor skyrocket, and the conditioning and layout of Tides worsen (not to mention $20/round more), East Bay GC was a nice find in the area. Nothing too fancy about this place (aside from the GPS), just an enjoyable and decent course to play for the average to below average golfer, with friendly service and a VERY good price. The tee boxes could use some work though...and that's about the only bad thing I can say.

At par 70 and 6163 yards, Babe Zaharias Golf Course is a short but tight venue. There is a considerable
amount of out of bounds to be avoided, and obviously, accuracy is key. The par 5s are very short ...
