South of Clearwater, this park with its wide swath of powder-soft sand and gentle surf has often been voted one of the nation's top beaches. Here you can transport yourself from the bustle of Clearwater to a slice of tropical paradise designed for sunning, swimming and picnicking under the palms. A boardwalk with railing assists you to the beach, and what a view you get of the Gulf's famous sunsets! Parking is available, but bring change for the parking meters. Admission is free. Open daily 5am onwards.
