Old Memorial Golf Club, Tampa

I had never felt so welcome at a private course in my life. Not even at my own club where I am a member. The staff at old memorial is of the highest quality, the new valet David started my visit off on the right foot. His attitude would put anyone in a great mood. He got me exited to play the course and offered his help in anyway. Great kid. The course is immaculate in every way and the caddy Mike was a great help as it was my 1st time golfing here. I would recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a first class experience through And through.

Great experience. This is a shotmakers course. The wide fairways look inviting but look out after that. Lots of traps, lightening quick greens and deep bunkers. Bring your A-game. It is a little spendy but worth every penny.

Complete serenity, immaculate facility, course is pristine and very challenging. Caddie only format is true golf, once you've played here you are spoiled for just about any other course on the planet. Clubhouse facilities and dinner are also excellent. If you ever get an opportunity to play here (by member invite only) you owe it to yourself to experience this absolute gem.

The course is great shape as always. The experience is always enjoyable. The thing Ive noticed lately though is the caddies are never the same anymore.(for the most part) Rumor has it that there is a lot of turnover due to the fact that there are too many caddies being employed by the course leaving the experienced caddies with less work than ever and forced to go elsewhere. If this is true, it is to bad, it definitely affects the tradition of old memorial and will only destroy the reputation of the caddie program.

This place does not live up to its reputation. Its run by kids. For the price of membership plus paying the caddie 75-100--you would think--a little HOSPITALITY. The golf course layout..OK very flat couple short par 4's. If Chris (outback steak owner) knew what goes on at his club--he would be furious!!!! Very disappointed. Stay away not a professional atmosphere. The one good thing--walking the course( great exercise).

Everyone at the club from the first greeter to the caddie, the locker attendants, serverors. were firt class in their aapprearance and demeanor and how they responed to your needs You are made to feel very welcome The golf experience is at best challenging and somewhat frustrating, but your dedicated caddie will try to guide you through the cou-rse with minimal distraction. It is truly a fun place to hang out with yoour firends. This trip this week-end will be my fifth time there. I am looking forward to a lot of laghs and a good time. I know each of us will haave one.

if you like a challenge you will love this place.......practice sand shots before hand as you will be in some ........playing with a caddie is where golf is the most enjoyable.play here if you ever get a chance
