Description
If you choose to play the back tees at this par-71 course (6809 yards), you are in for a battle. The course, designed by William F Mitchell, winds through a former swamp basin, making it visually interesting as well as a stern test. The difficulty eases substantially as one moves forward on the tee box to the gold (6201 yards). Tees and greens are elevated, and a number of traps join the swamp to gobble errant shots. There are two long par-4s, but the rest of the holes are average in length. University of South Florida Golf Course is a public golf course. Metal spikes are tolerated, but not encouraged.
