Description

This sports complex is less than a mile from downtown St. Petersburg along Central Ave and accessible by special Looper bus running daily. Home to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays since 1996, the field was created in 1986 and has hosted Davis Cup tennis, arena football, basketball and big-name concerts. It seats 45,200 for baseball and features "entertainment streets" with food, a kids' play area, a bank and a rotunda resembling Brooklyn's Ebbets Field. Tours of the facility are available.

Got great seats behind home plate in 2007! Weather resistant dome kept us nice and cool. Loudness wasn't that bad for an arena. Easy to navigate, parking was free!

Great time at the ballpark

Went and watched Anaheim play Tampa on a Monday night. It was $1 hot dogs that night. Great deal! Bought our tickets outside off a scalper for $25 each and they were 8 rows from the field directly behind the visting dugout. A great view. The Devil rays do a good job throughout the game of keeping their fans into the game. A great place to watch a game!

A great family event

Tropicana Field is a great place to go for a family event. Although the Tampa Bay Devil Rays aren't very successful in the win column, their new, young team can be exciting at times. The stadium now has free parking for all games! And, ticket prices start at only $8.00 (the AAA card discount is half off for all seats if you purchase in advance). The ballpark is delightful and there are many activities for children. Also, the food choices are very wide and delicious. A Devil Rays game is a good choice for any visitors to Tampa-St. Pete.
