Jackson's Bistro, Tampa

I am a local and had heard great things about Jackson's. They turned out to be false. A group of friends and I went there about a week ago and were not impressed at all. I ordered sushi, as I am crazy about good sushi. I can honestly say this was the absolute worst sushi I have ever had. I have had a lot of sushi from many places throughout the country. I had the spicy tuna roll. The rice was crisp, like it had been baking in the window for some time while waiting for the other food to be ready. The tuna was tasteless, and the rolls were very small. My husbands steak was overcooked, he asked for medium. It was well done. Our drinks sat empty for most of the night. We were never brought water at all. Each of us was drinking an alcoholic beverage, and were never asked if we wanted another refill. In fact our waiter was MIA for most of the dinner. We waited at least 45 minutes(with empty glasses) for our check. When we finally saw our waiter, he stated that he could not split our bill because he didn't know how. This is about the time we got the manager...I would not recommended this restaurant. The price is not worth the poor service and overcooked/tasteless food.
