Don't join the wine club!
I am a resident of Napa and joined Artesa wine club, because we loved bringing guests up for the atmosphere and we liked the wine. After canceling my club membership after two years, I was charged for a wine shipment after I had closed my account. I tried to work it out with the club rep, but wasn't treated very nice. Eventually, my account was credited. Now six months later a charge again has appeared on my statement. It is in the hands of the credit card company now, but Artesa is not handling the situation competently again. Beware.

Don't miss this experience
By AM Pires, 1/16/08
Artesa is a must see when you are in the area! The views are sensational, the wine is awesome! I've been several times but have yet to take the tour, but that is on the books for this year.

\"Stunning\"
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 12/12/07
My husband and myself traveled (by limo, the only way to go wine tasting) with two other couples up threw Napa a found each winery to be delightful. However, this particular winery was just "Stunning". The entrance to the winery set the scene for what we were to see inside. It was beautiful and the wines were quite tasty! Go for the full taste, you won't be disappointed. This winery is one that you must visit!

Beautiful winery
By DH, 2/11/07
A very beautiful winery outside of Napa's usual wine region. Great setting and excellent wines. The facility is breath taking. A must to see and visit. The building looks like an European art museum, nestled in a hide away mountain side.

Champagne that sweeps you off your feet!
By Paul, 1/17/07
We stopped into Artesa and were very impressed. The Champagne was altogether the best I have had in California. A very modern impressive winery. We toured the entire operation and these guys have it together. A great stop on the wine tour. I buy Artesa whenever I can find it.

enjoy the scenery
By nitin, 9/25/06
The artesa winery located on the top of hill offers beautiful views of the napa and sonoma valleys below.probably the best you can get in the area. The winery itself is a peice of art . i loved the fountains , the grass covering the winery . the beauty of the place surely over shawdows their wines. We took the $20 per head reserve wine tasting . their wines are definetely not the best in the area. there is also $15 a head regular tasting. They offer a complimentary tour of the winery which is quite informative

A must visit jewel on the wine country!
By Clark, 10/6/05
This is a winery we stop at every time we are in Napa or Sonoma for wine tasting. We always go away with wine for our wine cellar. The view of the Carneros Valley is stuning! The wine is superb and the staff friendly. They also have a wonderful gift shop! Don't miss this jewel of the valley.

Do not miss Artesa
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 9/27/05
This winery is the quintessential Napa Valley experience. The site is amazing and the views incredible. I always try to take out of town visitors to this winery. I plan to go tomorrow with guests from London because the drive is easy and scenic and I know we will get a warm welcome and a great glass of wine. This is a five star experience!

Amazing - Best Views in Carneros
By dzakur, 8/11/05
This was a place that we had meant to get to about a dozen times, but just never did. What a mistake THAT was! This place was great - all around. First, the location and views are out of this world. Artesa is tucked away in the hills between Sonoma and Napa (rt.137?), and therefore it overlooks both valleys and the tip of the bay. The grounds are artistically designed to blend into the hillside, and not be 'intrusive'. At the top of the long staircase up, there are a few fountains and ponds. Inside, there is an art gallery and gift shop, and it is very welcoming and gives you something to do besides 'belly up' which is what too many places are focusing on these days. As for the wines - well, I knew they were good beforehand! They did offer about 5-10 *other* wines at the vineyard which you can't get retail. These were either smaller vineyard lots, older vintages, or simply winery only specials. Most importantly, the people that work there were very friendly, happy to pour for you off the designated 'menu', spend some time with you, and generally make you feel welcome. No hard sell here, and it was refreshing. I send everyone to Artesa when they ask me where to go in the valley.

Artesa puts the \"art\" in wine.
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 1/27/05
Visiting Artesa is very different from any other winery in Sonoma/Napa for a couple of reasons.. Artesa has one of the most incredible views in all of the Northern Bay Area. The wines and the winery staff are also perfect compliments to the view! The two things not to miss are the Pinot Noir, and the sunset!
