Mumm Napa, Napa

I and a group of Pathologists were staying at The Meritage for a conference. We decided to rent a limo to do some wine tasting on Sunday. When we arrived at Mumm, we were treated very badly. They literally told us we were not welcome because we arrived in a limo. The lady in charge said she had no seating. I looked around and there were plenty of seats! She was a liar. She said there was a no limo sign up on Sunday, but we did not see it. What is wrong with telling us nicely that limos are not allowed. This winery must have lots of money and really do not care about selling their products or treating guests decently! I would definitely skip this winery. There are lots of other wineries that are very hospitable. Not of us will ever by their products again!!

If you've ever wanted to see first hand how sparkling wine (champaign) is produced, this is the one tour to take. The tour was about 1 hour with a very informative host - starts in a demonstration vineyard and ends with labels being put on the bottles. Added benefit is the Mumm art gallery, which is terrific on its own. Take the tour first and receive a discount on tastings and the wine shop merchandise. We enjoyed the premium tasting - three flutes of the very top end sparkling wines for $25 - and were not disappointed. The patio overlooks the breathtaking Napa Valley just off the Silverado Trail. A destination winery in the Napa Valley . . .

Feels a little like going to a nice restaurant vs visiting a winery. We sat outside on the deck overlooking the vineyards. Very nice. Servers had their planned presentation ready and seemed a bit tired making it "special" for yet another table. All in all a good place as long as you realize they are very busy and don't have a ton of time to spend at your table. Also a bit pricey.

Great champagne in a wonderful atmosphere. We tried some others that serve champagne and they can be very snobby. This place was very welcoming with a great collection of art to view as well. GREAT CHAMPAGNE TOO! (better than some of the others so don't pass it up)

Please treat yourself and don't miss this tasting. The Champagne is wonderful, the people are great, and the setting is ideal. They have an photo art exhibit that is worth the trip and THEN there's the tasting... GREAT!

As others have posted the veranda location was beautiful. My husband I really enjoyed the tour as well. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and the information on making sparkling wine was very intersting.

Scenic view while wine tasting. Qualified professional servers. Great experience! I went in the Summer and the weather was beautiful. Wineries as far as you can see while traveling to Mumms.

my husband and i just love this place . we have been going each year for the past 9 years. of course we had to join the club. when we get to napa we just love to go right there and sit oon the veranda ,look out at the vineyards and mountains, have their sampler taster and just relax and enjoy. its like all your cares just float away. of course have to go again before we leave usually around 10:30 am then you can enjoy the sun shining over it all. all in all just a wonderful experience. cant wait to go back.
