There is a reason this place is almost empty at dinner time. So my husband & I went for a quick dinner after work, there was only one other couple in the entire restaurant, yet the host tries to sit us in tiny booth in a corner, we asked to sit at another & we were seated there, no problem. The waitress was friendly but seemed shy and uncomfortable, which is no problem everyone has to start somewhere, my husband ordered the special & I ordered chicken scallopini, she didn t write the order down & then had to come back to ask what we ordered, again no big deal, then 10 mins later she comes and informs us they are out of the special, there is NO ONE in this restaurant at the dinner hour & yet they are out of the dinner special. So we finally get our food & it s just junk. The chicken scallopini has 3 very small pieces of chicken the size of silver dollars, that were over cooked & oily & a fist size portion of angel hair pasta, that was stuck together & cold, there where no vegtables & zero sauce with this meal, none , zip, nada. Scallopini is made by sauteing the chicken in a white wine & lemon sauce, this was obviously cooked in oil w/no sauce whatsoever, by far the worst scallopini I have ever had. My husband s was just some large bowtie pasta with sauce that looked canned dumped on top, he said it was ok. It s not a wonder the restaurant is empty at dinner time, the food is horrible, service slow & inexperienced ie: no refills, no plate clearing, no check backs ect. I can t imagine this place staying open much longer, when you charge 15-20 a plate for food (does not include salad or soup) that taste like it s been frozen & reheated, then have #$%$ service on top of it, it s just a matter of time before the doors swing closed. Well, here is another restaurant in Kissimmee we will never visit again.
If it wasn't for the manager, this Maacaroni Grill would have gotten a one star. Service was horrible. We went there for early dinner. We waited too long for a server to tend to us, then waited even longer for the food and even the bread. The food I ordered was nothing close to any other Italian Restuarant. It looked like it came out of the microwave and overcooked, burnt. Manager came, talked to us, was very nice and professional, told the waitress to take that off the bill, which she didn't. Told her I needed to pay and leave, I was there too long waiting for her to just stop by. Make story short, manager thought he gave us a discount and free desserts but my money was short. Called and walked to talk to the waitress who forgot to add my $25 Gift card to the amount. YES, that was another 15 minute wait.
Manager needs to hire better waitresses and perhaps a better cook.
So I have to keep it short here. Service was terrible and they did not know the menu, brought the food out for 3 people at different times. My salad was not what I had ordered and they made me feel like I was an idiot for wanting it my way.
