Two Blondes & A Shrimp, Sanford

Let me start off saying the prices are reasonable and the food okay...but you will have wait a long time for the hostess to seat you. And God forbid you don't have a reservation, bc if they are full, they are very very rude to people who don't have reservations. We had them, but the people in line behind us did not and I was appalled at how rude the waitress/hostess. She made a big deal of going through their reservation book and was loudly grumbling. Finally, the bartender came over and calmed her down but still turned away the couple. There were empty tables inside and out, and I never did see all the tables get seated (but I guess full is full). Anyway, we waited a while for our food which was okay when it came and we waited for our check which was moderate when it finally came. Personally, I wouldn't eat here again. The atmosphere, service, and food is much better at the German restaurant down the street.

Truly a historic setting that adds to the finely prepared meal. We could almost picture horse-drawn carriages as we enjoyed an open-air feast while listening to a great jazz trio. After a walk on the riverfront a great place to unwind with good wine, fine food and very friendly people.
