We often visit the Bayou during ski trips to NC and we always have a good time and enjoy our meals. This is NOT a fancy white-tablecloth restaurant, but it is the place where the locals eat and visit. Our kids, age 10 to 17 enjoy the pool table and video games. The 17 year old like the free national trivia game that's available. My wife and I enjoy that the kids are amused, as well as the large menu and good prices, and there is a childrens menu, too. A recent outing we enjoyed the Voodoo pasta dish, pecan trout, gumbo, burgers and wings. All very good. A good place to relax with kids or friends. And FYI, there is no smoking allowed anywhere inside the restaurant. I gave this place 5 stars because even though it is not high-end or trendy the food and atmosphere are definitely enjoyable and we always get more than our money's worth.
