We've eaten at some of the best Thai restaurants in many cities and Bangkok City most certainly rivals them. When you order the Tom Kai Soup (coconut milk with lemon grass for two, you will get a ringed tureen with a small fire in the center. There is more than enough soup there for four people. We always have at least three bowls filled with chucks of chicken, tomatoes, mushrooms and onion that was obviously made fresh and in a broth that is so flavorful you really don't want to stop eating it. And we still take some home. When you order it for lunch you will get one bowl of it and it is really quite a full and generous portion as well. Their appetizers, of which we tried several are also quite delicious and served with a slightly spicy honey sauce that is very nice! My favorite dish, Panang curry is so delicious and the sauce is thick and flavorful. I ask for it as a strong medium hotness and thats what I get. There are only a couple of Thai restaurants that I've ever enjoyed as much, one in San Diego, one in Phoenix and one in Atlanta. Their three flavor fish is an amazing experience, we get it with tilapia (you can have salmon too) and its spicy and sweet with big chunks of pineapple. The fish has a lite crispy coating and it will melt in your mouth. The Pad Thai is served with a bunch of different toppings in little piles along the dish, including sugar, red pepper flakes and peanuts. We don't usually use the first two, so we ask for it without. Once our daughter scooped up some of the Red pepper without knowing.... the Thai iced tea is perfect for that! We've brought numerous friends and co-workers to the restaurant and every one of them have been amazed at the quality and flavor. They have all either returned on their own or come back with us for more. The prices are great too (can't imagine what that other reviewer was thinking!) About the only semi bad thing I would say is that sometimes the service isn't the fastest. They often have only one server that takes cares of the whole place and take out orders too. It's decor is lovely and so we really don't mind a nice relaxed and thoroughly delicious meal. Can't say about the desserts... we never have room to try them. They have listed a Creme Brulee but were told by the waiter that is not a typical one. We highly recommend this as the finest Thai food in the area.
