A favorite among locals because of its casual, yet sophisticated style. The ambiance is chic, in a comfortable sort of way and the views are amazing. Their menu offers mouth-watering selections that are recognizable, using unique and contemporary techniques, without being too fussy. Tempting appetizers include house-made potato chips with white truffle essence or Gorgonzola-stuffed dates wrapped in applewood-smoked bacon. For heftier appetites, try the blackened ahi, or the Kobe beef Gorgonzola burger. They also feature a variety of innovative gourmet sliders, and soups, salads, and pastas. The extensive wine list is reasonably priced, and the cocktails are showstoppers. After typical dining hours the feel is more of a nightclub, and this fashionable eatery gets super packed, especially on weekends. The ultra-trendy vibe can be a little much for some people, but the food and the views are hard to beat.
Ambiance was nice as was the location. However, the food left plenty to be desired and the service was slow. Just to give a couple examples, my fish and chips felt more like oil and chips...soggy to where I only tasted oil...couldn't believe it. My iced tea refill took 10 minutes, to the point where the remaining ice had melted into water. Did the waitress give me a new glass? Nope, just topped it up...nice move. Super watered down iced tea to wash off that oily excuse for fish and chips.
Better bet is Rusty Pelican up PCH where the food is cooked well and service is excellent. Sorry won't be returning here...
getting in during rush hour is a nightmare. you have to pay the bouncer 50.00 or more to bypass the long, long, long, long waiting line outside on a ice cold night. do not order any pasta dishes (that chef love to clogged your arteries-GREASY) atmosphere was great.
THEY NEED TO STOP SMOKERS INCLUDING THE EMPLOYEES SMOKING NEXT TO NONSMOKERS . IT SMELL SO BAD
