Fantastic Food. The best place in Lake Cpounty to eat.

We have eaten dinner at Happy Gardens on a regular basis (usually once a week) since it first opened. Food has always been fresh, hot, and well seasoned. We both love the peanut sauce on chicken! At times, I have requested extra seasoning, and staff have always been happy to accommodate our requests. I am glad that their business has grown by leaps and bounds, as is evidenced by the number of patrons seen in both restaurant and bar! We will continue to refer our guests to Happy Gardens, for they are number one on our list!!

One night my husband, children and I ate there as we did a few times before. The food was okay and so was the service. Later that evening we had extreme stomach pain and vomiting. We went to the local Doctor which diagnosed us with food poisoning. That same night a friend of ours ate there and had the same symptoms. We went to the manager of the restaurant and he said there was nothing he could do but give us the bills worth in food.Yeah like we would eat that and get hella sick again! I don't think so! All we wanted was our money back. $50 bucks! That's ALL! But he wouldn't make it right with us so not only did we have to pay for the food bill we had to pay for our Doctors visit too! They are unfair and if you have an issue they are not sympathetic. I myself run a business and if anyone has a problem we always make it right with them! Never go there! That's a word from the wise.

Happy Garden has the worst service you will ever receive. I have ordered take out 2 times; the first time, they gave us the wrong order. I drove 45 minutes home, and found this out. My wife called, and let the hostess know. She laughed at my wife. Hmmm. Ok. I drove all the way back to get my correct order. They didnt even make another order up for us. The food we had ordered over 2 hours previously was what they wanted to give us, then proceeded to tell me I should have checked the order before I left... I have never been blamed for a restaurants mistake before, so this was new by me. They said they would not give us any money off. I told them they could give us the cold meal for free or I would not return. She told me she would, but the credit never appeared on my bank statement. Being the forgiving type, we decided to give them a second chance tonight. This time, the curried chicken was packaged in styrofoam, and the styrofoam melted prior to my arriving home. The food was in the bottom of the bag. When I called to let them know, the person who answered the phone told me that it was my fault that I didnt get it home in time. What? Really? Last time I checked, it wasnt time that melts styrofoam, it is heat. Therefore the food was melting the container long before I got it home. But again, the problem was my fault. The service when we have eaten there has been terrible as well. Their food is good for Lake County, but let me tell you, thats not saying much. I will never return there, and each of my friends have had similar experiences. They will never return either. If you decide to eat at Happy Garden, just remember, you are rolling the dice, and if there is a problem, it will be your fault. This is the absolute worst service I have ever had at any restaurant in my entire life, and Ive been to some lousy places. DO NOT EAT AT HAPPY GARDEN. They do not appreciate their customers, and do not understand the value of earning repeat business. Happy Garden is the worst service in the whole of Lake and Mendocino counties, and that is no joke. I have never, I repeat never, been blamed for the mistakes of a business before in my life, and since I will never return to Happy Garden, never will be again. It is my hope that this place will go out of business as opposed to screwing more people over and poisoning their food with melting styrofoam, only to blame the customer for it. This place is pathetic. Two huge thumbs WAY down.

My husband and I eat here. It's our favorite local (and affordable) restaurant. We like the food, the service is good and the menu is yummy and healthy enough for us.

The food was horrible... the meat was hard and had stale taste to it...and when the waitress asked us how everything was, I let her know that what I had ordered was NOT real Thai food... i asked her to make it more spicy and she walked away laughing... first and last time I go there.

This restaurant has a nice combination of Chinese and Thai food. Good selections for a carnivore of a veggie diet. I've never had to wait. The food is hot and tasty. I'm a local who has eaten here about 4 times now.
