We've lived in Kingman for over a year and have been wanting to try this place. Being from the Seattle area, we've had Indian food many times and love it. But this place was not good. First off, we had to tell them we were coming (6 of us), and tell them what we wanted to eat before we even got there. The entrees weren't that good, watery sauces and small quantity. When we got the bill for 6 of us, we fell off our chairs. $197 before the tip, with NO alcohol! $42 for RICE, $5 a piece for tiny meatballs, everything was WAAAAY overpriced, and not that good anyway. The slow service would have been fine if the food was great. But considering inferior food and unreasonable prices, we won't be back.
The food was just perfect. I ordered the chicken curry and asked for it to be spicy. It was good but could have been spicier. i also had the garlic naan which was very good as well. dont let the way the outside of the building looks disourage you, because the inside is extremely clean and well decorated. I will definitely be going back and will be referring this restaurant to my friends and family. PS, its probably a good idea to call ahead and let them know your coming
The food is excellent. They offer Indian (the country--not Native American) cuisine. Service is slow, but we are ALWAYS made to feel special by the owners who come out to talk to us everytime we visit. They are a child-accepting and child-friendly establishment.
Find that they frequently are closed around 5pm on week nights and are late to return to open the doors. They have lost our business 3 times for this reason. Then I got a clue and made reservations for 5pm. Problem solved.
In response to Dee Dee's post: Tap water is free. They charge for bottled water like any other restaraunt.
