Swords & Dreams Reptile Rescue, Milwaukee

I had been driving past this place for a long while. Well, I finally stopped in and am I glad! The owner (I learned his name is Tom), is cool and sure is passionate about what he does. I came in to see the reptiles. Im interested in the turtles, precisely. He knows a lot and carers for the animals. Its a rescue, he doesnt buy them wholesale. He seems to be most interested in giving them a good home and to educate people. I really like his goal for the reptile park. If he reads this, I am willing to help. I have extensive business background experience. Im not looking for a fee here either. I just wanna see the reptile park happen! Anyways, check out his place. Unique experience, to say the least.

I just want to say that Tom was very informitive and helpful when my iguana had gotten sick. Tom claims he's no expert, but I've had reptiles all my life and I have NEVER talked to anyone who was moer helpful or knowledgable. THANK YOU!!

wow what a place and thank god i found it well i was questing the other day and i was pretty baked and i dropped and droke my favorite pipe, talk about a buzz kill. well i walked in this place and found many lovely peices of glass talk about a gr8 slection i would of got more then 1 but i only needed 1 lol. theres so many kewl things to trip out in this place i couldnt belive it something else i think im going to pick up l8er is this stash box that looks like a soda can well if yer ever in the area i recomend checking this place out!!!

I recently moved to the Milwaukee area and had found Sword and Dreams Reptile Rescue while browsing online. My husband and I went to check out the store yesterday and I was very impressed with what I saw there. I have been doing reptile/bird rescue for over 10 years and have seen some horrible places that are simply in it for the money and the animals are neglected and cared for by people who have no education in caring for exotics. This is absolutely NOT the case with this store! The animals that I saw at Swords and Dreams were beautiful and very well cared for. The owner of this shop is very friendly, intelligent, willing to talk with you and educate others, and his love for these creatures stands out above all else. I am very happy to see a good program exists here to help care for abused and neglected reptiles and I highly recommend Swords and Dreams to any one!! Please, if you have any interest in reptiles at all, go check out this shop. As well If you are looking for a reptile to become part of your family, please consider adopting here rather than purchasing from a pet store. Thank you

Iam a local Resident Redneck that has been dealing with Tom for five years now and i tell everybody i meet to stop in because i personlly gaurentee you the reader will walk away with something when you leave the shop wheather it be a new friend such as a beautiful snake or a leaping lizard or a shiny sharp object or just a smile on you face with knowledge in you mind.Please stop in,have fun and be safe.Now i must go i got a lizard to fead.

my daughter and i needed something to do today, so we took a walk in downtown West Allis. I always see the swords & dreams store- but never took the time to check it out. That is- until today. My daughter was a little freaked out at first- but eventually loved the expierence. Tom has a lot of knowledge- and is kid friendly. My daughter ans I saw some pretty kool stuff. For one- we saw a pac-man frog eat a live mouse right in front of us! We sure learned a lot in the half hour we were with Tom....and I cant wait till I go back. I 100?% support him when he says he wants a park for this....We can all learn a lot from him....Who are we to stop someone's dream? We should help him. It will take lots of money- but -think of all the kids and teens that would be saved from doing bad stuff- when they can all learn while doing incredible things for the reptiles.....Im just sayin,lets help to build an incredible dream for all to benefit from!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hey Tom, Brians daughter. I love the shop there is so much that is going on and the reptiles are great. All the animals look really happy and healthy. The dream you have is great. I will pray it happens. I can't wait to go back.

what a store tom the owner is ever into the reptiles he could answer all the questions i had about my bearded dragon even tho i got him some place else... i have to say thats something you dont see much any more... thanks tom and god bless

Tom is great!! He really knows his stuff, and is very passionate about his reptiles (animals). My family and I went in to purchase bearded dragons. We had the best time!! The store is really cool.
