Ponderosa Steak House, Thomaston

To Ventilator's review: 'Saying that this is the best food in Thomaston isn't saying much!' When I ate here I had a steak. Since I rarely if ever eat steak, when I do, I eat organic. Thus I could taste the chemicals in this one but that doesn't make up for the fact that it was tough as whip leather. I'm not sure but I think the baked potato was boiled. The tea was nothing fancy. The salad was 'just a salad', nothing outstanding and I can open a bag of lettuce at home and throw some tomatoes in there. Thinking back, I wouldn't eat here again. I can cook a better steak at home. The Shadow.

In my opinion this is the best food in Thomaston. The appetizers are wonderful, and the main courses were fabulous too. The price you see on the menu includes tax and beverage, no hidden charges. The service is wonderful too. I wish they would add a few more items.. scallops would be nice. I have not tried their deserts as I am always to full. Just my 2 cents worth
