My husband and I went there for our 4th anniversary and we were so please with everything. The staff were so friendly and diligant, we never had to wait for anything. The atmosphere alone was worth the trip up there. The food was so, so good. We sayvored every bite. Will go there on our next anniversary, and will most likely make it a yearly tradition. Couldn't of have imagine a nicer night. If you want a great meal and a wonderful evening out with someone special this is the place.
Took my husband there for his birthday and had a very relaxing evening. Atmosphere is excellent along with the service and the food. You are well taken care of and the best thing we liked is the different variety of meals to pick from. Not the same ole steak and shrimp. It was worth every penny we spent. Looking forward to going again and soon.
Great food, and even better service (hope the Chef isn't offended!). It is so nice to have staff who know how to open a bottle of wine, know when to clear the table and when to interrupt you to tell you the specials for the evening. But back to the food, it is rare in these parts to be able to say that there isn't a thing on the menu I wouldn't recommend (whether I have eaten it already or not). We don't deserve this in Wausau!
The hospitality is suburb. Dining is on a par with New York with a chef that's creative but focused on the tastes of folks from Central Wisconsin. A great spot for a quiet dinner meeting or a spacial night out. A tiny bar area but a bar tender with an eye for service.
What a wonderful dinner - would love to come back! I would recommend everything we had - pear salad, PRIME RIB was excellent, squash ravioli (yum!) and the french onion soup! The service was fantastic! Atmosphere was romantic. I can't think of anything negative to say - this is a must to visit. Thanks for the wonderful evening.
One of the best restaurants in Central Wisconsin. I love the Balsamic & Blue cheese baklava appatizer. The chef goes out of the way to create 5 star dishes using seasonal, fresh & local ingredients. I have traveled all over the U.S. and this is one of my favorite restaurants in the midwest. The intimate dining area in a completely restored period victorian home, makes the Wright Place on 6th the right place for a romantic dinner when you are in Wausau. They also have private rooms if you are planning a small party like an anniversary or birthday. I will be back!
