Stonebrooke Golf Club
With an 18-hole championship course and a 9-hole short course, Stonebrooke Golf Club provides a challenge for both the experienced or novice golfer. The main course boasts dense forests of mature trees, numerous water hazards and great elevation changes. Both courses are magnificently maintained with manicured greens, wide fairways and high rough. Holes 3, 4 and 5 on the 18-hole course are built around a natural cattail pond that demands great shot making or your score will escalate quickly. On the 8th hole, a ferryboat transports golfers across a pond to set up for their second shot among 100-year-old oak trees. The 9-hole, par 30 course plays just the right distance for the beginner golfer or allows the experienced golfer to play a quick yet relaxed round. A variety of discounted green fees are available.
The facilities were just great and the employees here were all very accommodating and friendly towards me. There is a time limit on play, but me and my friend comfortably fit a game in well within the limits. Its the perfect time and even the food here was amazing.
I play a lot of golf in the twin cities area. Stonebrooke is one of my favorites and priced perfectly compared to other courses! Every hole is "doing something" interesting. Doglegs, water, undulating fast greens,.....Stonebrooke is a fun challenge for your golf game. Starters and rangers are on the course and keep pace of play moving really well, and staff is friendly and helpful! The restaurant is fantastic...my favorite is the 5oz Burger (with adding Bleu Cheese!) I would highly recommend!
Stonebrooke is in great shape this year, the greens are very nice, the staff in the clubhouse were very helpful and pleasant, and the boat ride on the 8th hole to the green is always fun, just because you don't see that very often.
Will play here again when I'm back in town and recommend this course to any golfer!
Frankly I just got the feeling that they would rather we just stayed home. I played the Ridges at Sand Creek in Jordan on Saturday and this fiasco on Monday. One course was courteous and the other was not. We played in 4 1/2 hours, starting at 12:15 PM, and couldn't have played faster based on those in front of us and the fact I had never played the course before...and I shot a 79. I'll never go back.
Course has a "strict" policy of 4 hour rounds that they tell you on the first tee. They will also tell you that after #2, #4, #7 and at the turn. It's ridiculous how pushy they are when you're keeping good time. The pins where in crazy locations on 3 holes which led to guys putting off the green, balls rolling back down to them as pins where on the crest of slopes, etc. Not worth the money they charge in my opinion. We finished in 4 hours 15 mins.
Head pro seemed clueless to our comments on the pin locations and them not conducive to 4 hour rounds.
The roar of the engine, the smell of gasoline and the occasional crunch of metal are just a few of
the sights, sounds and smells experienced at Raceway Park. High powered machines are maneuvered around the quarter mile track ...
