4 reviews for Padelford Packet Boat Company
mediocre
By MastaTai, 07/08/09
Took my girlfriend on this and had a wonderful time. There were some things that bothered me though: 1. My gf and I are asian thus people of color. We both noticed that the majority of guests were caucasian which didn't bother us. However it was interesting to see that the other minorities there (group of 4) were placed right next to us. Our tables were located by the door leading to the outside upper deck a corner if you may. 2. When calling tables to the buffet dinner our table was skipped (table of 2) and instead a table of 6 and 4 were called on the opposite side. (we were the last table on our side). 3. After all tables were called and everyone was already eating food we still weren't called. Thus we kindly asked another crew worker if we could go eat since we were forgotten about. (sad) 4. Finally on our way off the boat a crew member was thanking everyone and wishing them a good night. Thus the people in front of us were thanked, we however were not thanked, but the people directly behind us were. (we were within 7 feet of each other). Like I said we had a great time (having each other there is what did the trick). Hopefully these things that occurred were by mistake, but I will let others be the judge.

Beutiful Scenery - Service and Food Was OK
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 10/28/08
We have been on Lake Minnetonka, St. Croix River and now the Mississippi. We went on the Brunch Cruise this fall. The leaves were perfect and the scenery prestigeous. The staff was couteous, but lacked service. The food was subpar. I recommend going elsewhere.

Great River Trip
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 08/23/06
We could not believe how scenic the Mississippi river was in the heart of the Twin Cities. We saw a eagle and lots of river barges. Very relaxing experience.
