If you like to visit sites that have been immortalized on the silver screen, be sure to stop by this very happening recreation hall. The bar was a set for the movie Grumpy Old Men. If that is not enough reason to drop in, how about playing a game of bocce ball on the dirt courts in the lower level. Irish culture thrives in St. Paul and for twenty years this recreation hall has been featuring live Irish folk bands. The 'Rec' is actually two bars in one; one side of the large room is dedicated to the pool table and dartboard crowd, while the other half consists of dimly lit tables and a velvet curtained stage. The large bar presides down the centre. Grab a pint of your favourite ale or brew and visit both sides of the room. Munch on an appetizer and listen to the Emerald Isle's favourite tunes.
