Be careful with deliveries. My pizza, a veggie and a pepperoni/sausage, came soaked in oil and the cheese slid right off the crust. It was a sloppy unedible mess. The owner, after a hassle, agreed to credit back half the charge. I'm still waiting for that to take place, 2 weeks later. I recommend this establishment for eating in, picking up, or a quick delivery. If you have to wait for delivery, go for an establishment that is closer to your home. If you have a problem, the owner has a lot of pride, but it interferes with his customer service instincts. I had to argue to get what was fair and it was unpleasant.

Romanos or Tomasos beat Sals hands down. Place was very dirty. Not a place to take kids to.

Tomaso's is the best in the area but they don't deliver. I have ordered Sals consistently since I they opened and love it. Ordered again tonight and then saw these messages. I'll have to rate again after I receive this pizza

Sal's is my favorite pizza in the area. While it isn't the best pizza I have ever had it is far better than the other pizza joints in the area. I just wanted a place that made a solid pizza and so far Sal's has been pretty good.

I am updating my review - I was first to review this back in April '07 (thought it was the best pizza around).... Well, at the time it was. We ordered there frequently until we stopped a few weeks ago. Maybe about 8 months or so ago, we noticed that the pizza didn't have the same taste - really thin crust and hardly any cheese - started ordering pizzas with extra cheese on it - and it was just 'okay'. We kept trying to order in hopes that we'd have good results, but didn't happen. We will not order from there again. I think we're switching to Romano's. It's unfortunate - I guess from reading the previous reviews, there's a new owner. He should get the previous owner's recipe and maybe we'll try it again.

Sal's has been going completely down hill since the new owner took over not too long ago. The Pizza is horrible and dripping with grease, the service is rude, and the owner has no idea how to run a business. I was appalled to learn that he pays all his employees cash under the table, most of them less than minimum wage, keeps poor work records, and often refuses to pay his employees. I think it is outrageous that other fine restaurants do the ethical thing and pay their employees and taxes at a competitive disadvantage to dishonest businessmen like the owner of Sals. If you want real pizza. Do yourself a favor and go to Romano's.

Disappointed for the 2nd time. Pizza was only warm (I live minutes away); onions were not done (cold and crunchy) and the garlic knots must have been sitting for hrs; hard as a rock. Last time for us.

I moved to the North Shore area from New York and could not find a decent pie until I ran into Sal's about a year ago. Pizza by the slice all day, full pies for dinner. Fantastic!!

COST TO MUCH FOR WHAT YOU GET. When they lower price it will be a great pizza house.
