Lewis & Clark River Expeditions

The staff at the office were very proficient in their jobs, taking care to answer all questions regarding pricing, type of float from scenic to white water, and questions regarding safety on the river. I took the 8 mile white water trip with Chris being the Guide. He covered all the safety instructions as well as the "how to" paddle instructions in the first few hundred yards of the float. he was very friendly and was very knowledgeable about the river and the wildlife we saw from the river. As for the "white water" most of what we encountered were class II rapids with one class III that approached class IV. Depending on the time of year this can be a VERY thrilling raft trip. I was there in Late July, stream flow was down but even so, I truely enjoyed the trip and recommend it to all, even those with kids as young as 10, swimmers or non swimmers.

We booked a small boat last summer, and it was a great experience, our guide Jonathan was truly professional and really funny too. We had the dinner after rafting down at the river. I cannot believe the meal was free! We had steak, sides and dessert. It was a fun bumpy ride with a good meal in a beautiful setting. I would recommend this trip to anyone. They do charge extra for the small boats but it is worth it, the raft is tiny, our guide said it is the smallest boat run on that river in Jackson Hole. I was also surprised when I noticed that the owner of the company checked us in for the trip. They obviously care about their business, and it was well run from beginning to end.
