Barker-Ewing River Trips

I booked a overnight trip on line. Got a confirmation. About 4hrs later I got a voice mail saying trip was cancelled. When I called back to find out what was going on, I was told there was a computer error. I told them the trip was still available on their website. I had planned on doing the overnight so I had no place to stay that night. When I told them that, they said I should check the Super 8. Then they wished me luck, saying I would need it. Nice way to do business. I would be scared to take a boat trip with them. If someone fell out, they would claim it was a computer error and would let them drown.

My family went on a "combo" trip with Barker-Ewing Whitewater which included a scenic float, breakfast and eight miles of whitewater. The scenic float was excellent with tons of information from our guide, and just enough corny jokes. Breakfast included the best and only wild rice pancakes I have ever had. By the time we did the white water section of the trip the whole group was confident in our guide and ready to tackle some fun whitewater, and even more scenery. This will certainly be something we do again and again.
