Charlie Sands Wild Water River Trips, Jackson

Cherene was an outstanding guide! We have been going down the whitewater section of the Snake River for four years now. Cherene showed remarkable ability to provide knowledge, insight, and interpersonal skills to all of us on the raft. Due to her knowledge we learned a great deal about the river and the Jackson Hole area. Her communication skills are remarkable! Not only was the guide amazing the trip is wonderful. It has amazing views as well as a great river to float. The rapids were very fun and exciting for everyone in the boat. We had a great time and plan to continue using Sands Whitewater next year instead of switching companies every year like we had been doing the last few years. I would highly recommend this trip and company to anyone considering a whitewater trip in Jackson.

I am not the type of person who writes reviews. I have always found it interesting that when things are not right we hear about it, but when everything is right people usually say nothing. The trip my wife and I took with Sands was so right that I am now writing this review. The rivers around the Jackson Hole area are open to may guide services. What will seperate them out is the people. It is my opinion that Sands has the best people in place in all areas. We left in the early morning on a breakfast trip and the driver made sure that bus was warmed up and that we where all comfortable. She also knew an amazing amount about the Snake River and all the animals that live in that area. (if you go on this trip take your camera and binoculars). After seeing bald eagles, osprey and deer along the calm nice part of the river we stopped for a breakfast at a camp. It was amazing, with french toast, sausage and the best eggs I have ever eaten. After that we met up with the bus and left all our cameras behind and traded them for some great white water gear they provided for us. We ran several rapids and at every break we had fun conversation with our guide. (I am pretty sure he could do stand-up comedy if the river guiding does not work out!) The gudie was just another example of the best people who care about and enjoy what they are doing. Even the bus ride back was great and of course the driver made sure we where all comfortable and was there to help or answer any questions. I highly recommend SANDS! Justin Star, Idaho

We were able to go on the whitewater section of the river. The trip was amazing! We had a great time and loved every aspect of it. We had such an awesome time!! Kevin, our guide, was very knowledgeable and put safety first, but made suer we had an exciting adventure! We loved the narration both Kevin and our bus driver provided for us. They both shared information with us that provided us with a better understanding of the area and the wildlife. We would love to return and take another trip with Sands Whitewater!!! I would recommend this company to all of my friends and family!

We went on a scenic river trip and we had a wonderful time. Our guide, Kate, made all the difference. She was very personable and professional. She was very sweet to our kids and knowledgeable about the river adn teh surrounding area. She did such a great job we would love to go back and have another trip with Sands! It was worth every penny and I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking for a fun time on the river.

This experience was amazing for our whole family. We did the 16 mile overnight combo with Sands and had an amazing time. This trip gave me the chance to get away and made my soul feel refreshed! The best part of our trip was being able to sit around the campfire and enjoy everyones company. Our guide, Kate, and cook, Andrew, were both very friendly, helpful, competent, and went out of their way to work with the kids. I would highly recommend this trip to anyone looking to take an overnight trip. We had a great time and would love to come back and do it again!!

Sands White Water was the highlight of our trip! The canyon was beautiful and what a better way to experience it then on a raft floating down the river. The employees at Sands were very welcoming and had a lot of great energy! I would recommend this company to any one who is considering going white water rafting in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. We can't wait to get back to do it again! Thanks Sands!!!!

We did the whitewater trip with Sands Whitewater. The guide on our trip was amazing. The guide interacted with us and we learned a lot white still having so much fun. Our guides name was Eric and he was so much fun, he has set the standard high for any future trips to have great guides. He was very thorough and gave great examples of the safety techniques. Other boats, I noticed, did not thoroughly describe what to expect. Our guide described what to expect, he joked with us, and he was very skilled making us feel safe and comfortable. I would highly recommend this trip. The company was amazing and we can't wait to go back and take another trip.

This is a must do while in Jackson, if you want to see wildlife and experince the thrill of white water rafting, We started off at the office to get our wet suits on, one tip make sure your booties fit properly it helps, then we had a short bus ride out to met our guide Brook who had the raft ready and waiting, after loading up and getting our positions in the raft we set off, the first thing was instuctions on paddling and what to do and not to do, The first part of our trip was a beautiful float along the snake river taking in the sights of country side and wild life, what a way to see it as we quietly floated past elk grazing along the river banks, mule deer skipping through the grassy flats and the bird life was amazing, Pelicans where pairing up for the nesting season, native ducks hanging out in the backwaters, some vulchers fighting over food but the best of all where the bald eagles nesting in trees what an amazing bird. We pulled into a back water where there was a short walk up to our breakfast being cooked in a back country camp, what a place all set up in the forest on the banks of the snake river,( You can also do an over night in the same spot) After a hearty breakfast we headed back to the raft and headed on down into the white waters of the snake for some wet and wild rafting bouncing from one rapid to another, the air filled with excited squeels and yahoos, what a ride, What a ride we did the breakfast combo which gave us best of both, you can do just the one or the other but I would recommend a doing the combo a day filled with sights and fun.

We had a great time on this rafting trip. We did the combination trip and while the scenery was amazing during the scenic section, our favorite part was the whitewater portion. Our guide was very courteous and friendly. He was highly skilled and followed through on everything he promised. We had an amazing time and would highly recommend this trip to others.

We did the scenic trip with views of the Tetons. It was a great trip and we had an excellent time. The views of not only the scenery but the wildlife we were able to see was amazing! The biggest animal we saw was a Moose and that was very exciting for us. Our guide was amazing. He was very knowledgeable about the area and able to answer all of our questions. He had a great sense of humor and provided us great entertainment for the entire trip. I would highly recommend this company to anyone considering taking a rafting trip in Jackson.
