This is an excellent place to have some bbq! The food is great, the place is very clean, the service was friendly, and the aroma of the place made your mouth water! If you love bbq and great service, than make sure to come to Bird's, you will not be disappointed! By the way...if you are looking for a tasty side and not sure what to get, I recommend the potato salad or what my brother got was their award winning corn casserole which was very good!
The food is good and I would disagree with a former poster. I really like their potato salad and mac & cheese, but would agree I doubt it is home made. We have been there several times and the food wasn't quite as good the last time we were there. Also, they have a practice of blocking off large sections of seating during the busiest hours for large groups. This leaves the seating limited at times. We were told on one occasion that we could order our food, but there would be a 45 min wait for a table. I guess we were supposed to stand and hold our plates until we were seated?
The ribs were falling-off-the-bone tender. The cole slaw was delicious and had a fresh homemade taste. My baked potato seemed to have been baked earlier and kept too long in a warming oven so I wouldn't order it again. This was my first time there and I plan on returning the next time I'm in the mood for ribs.
this is by far the best bbq i have ever had and i have eaten bbq all over the country
The amounts you get for the price are a real bargin. the ribs fall off the bone tender and have the REAL wood smoke flavor. you can see thier smokers and you know they only use true hard wood with no gas or electric oven to help them. It is true southern style bbq. the sauce is great and they don't hide the taste of the meat by drowning it with sauce. You can get your bbq with or without sauce. The rub they use is their own and it is FANTASTIC. The signature stuffed potato is the bargin on the menu. It is HUGE!! There sides are great with a good selection to chose from. They are adding daily specials and new items all the time. I could never get bored eating there. They have corrected thier problems since opening 6/2006. and the staff is very friendly and helpful. You will not be disappointed with the quality, quantity or price.
The BBQ is good, could be served a little hotter - its served luke warm at best. The sides are average and I have my doubts that their homemade as advertised. Macaronni and cheese looks like the kind that comes out of a can and the potato salad isnt much better. Coleslaw is terrible. Their baked potatoes are overpriced but good and big. Would be nice to have a few more side choices. The layout of the resturant is not that great perhaps if they had table service instead of counter it would be better. The staff helps you clear your table and sometimes getting your food. This is kind of confusing, we never know if a tip is expected or not. Also would like the sandwiches better if the BBQ Sauce was mixed into the meat instead of just placed on top. We had them cater a lunch for us and the food was great but they ran out way too soon but they only charged us half price. This is still a pretty new place so maybe they will work on the kinks.
