So my wife and I spent the last week in Wyoming with family and friends. We did ton's of fun stuff as you have already seen and read. But I am going to let you all know, if you are going to Wyoming, you probably won't get the best of service at a little place called Bubba's.
Our waitress, Peanut, refused to do anything that a restaurant patron would expect a waitress to do, i.e. refill drinks (after 22 minutes Chris refilled his own in the kitchen), bring a salad bar plate, or anything else a hungry young man would want from a waitress. No lie, we entered the restaurant at 3:12 pm and got our food at 4:35. I mean, I could have ate Super Potato Ole at Taco John's (greatest meal ever) ten times before Peanut even turned our order into the cooks. Being how well nourished Peanut was, I wouldn't be surprised if she ate our food, ate another tables food, then turned our ticket into the cooks, it took that LONG. It is a good thing however, that when our food did come out it was warm and cooked to perfection. Props to the cooks at Bubba's just not the service. Peanut needs to find a different field of work.
We visited Bubba's several times during out week at Jackson. We went for breakfast lunch and dinner. Every meal was great. I thought we had good biscuits in the South. Bubba's had the biggest and best biscuits I had ever eaten. There was no waiting because of the quick service and great waitresses. Linda
Visited Jackson during the summer and a local person told me about Bubbas. Had fantastic ribs and loved the cinnamon biscuits they served with them. Generous washcloths with warm water and lemon are great for cleaning up wayward sauce that dappled my cheeks and hands. Loved the food and the service was fine. Atmosphere perfect for a rib joint-relaxed and simple. I would love to visit Bubba's again for ribs and to steal their buscuit recipe.
Our visist to Bubba's BBQ is always a tradition and highlight on our yearly trip to Jackson, Wyo. We order the brisket and all the sides. Just the thought makes my mouth water.
The cowboy bunkhouse benches and tile floor is the perfect atmosphere for the place. They are busy all the time but I have always found the service friendly and attentive. I love the lack of pretense and the abundance of good food. Bubba's has found a place in my heart.
I was very disappointed with this restaurant. My hubby and I went to get some yummy smelling food. We got there and had to wait 15 min for someone to get off their lazy bum to seat us. If you have a bad back - don't eat there, unless you enjoy sitting on an uncomfortable picnic bench. I can do that at home, I don't want to do it on Vacation!
The aromas of the food slowly smoking in the giant grill outside, and the succulent taste of the tender morsels smothered in their sauce makes me want to go back to Jackson again and again.
The views of the Tetons does not detract from the experience either!
