Although it was extremely busy when we stopped at Murphy's, our waitress was extremely friendly. The Meat and Potato Pie was the best food I had during my whole vacation. Would definitely go back again!!!
Murphy's has the most amazing champagne brunch that I have been going to for years. Today my fiance and I had our official enagement brunch at Murphy's. The service, atmosphere and food were great! Murphy's is also a great bar to go to party at, but the Sunday brunch is classy and cozy. What a great place!!!
I liked this little pub when last I visited. The only problem was the stench of smoke and I wish there was more variety to their Irish entertainment. But then I wasn't there to long. Otherwise, not a bad place.
I appreciate what they do for the community too!
This is by far my favorite bar in Old Town, if not all of Northern Virginia. The bartenders are great, and the guys that play at night are a lot of fun! The songs are a lot of to sing too & even if you are the shy type you will be singing them for the rest of the week!
They have 2 tables called No smoking. however, they seem to lack an exhaust fan so this is just a misleading designation. Also the bathrooms apparently are cleaned infrequently.
you leave there smelling like smoke in your clothes and hair.
I was there for St. Pat's day 2005 and had a blast! Everyone there is friendly, staff is excellent, music is great, prices are very affordable! We met some great people that made our vacation awesome! If you're ever in Alexandria, I highly recommend stopping by!
Murphy's if the BEST place to let yourself go and really have a good time. The food is good and the music is FUN. If your not too embarassed to sing along LOUD AND CLEAR THAT IS!!! GO IF YOU GET THE CHANCE!
A great experience all round, friendly staff, good beer, inexpensive and all in the heart of Old Town Alexandria.
I recomend the Fish & Chips, they're fantastic.
Mrs.Mooney's a lovely lady if you get to talk to her, and the authentic Irish man behind the bar all adds up to a truely brilliant night.

the next five years, torpedoes were made and maintained at this facility. In 1945, production at the Torpedo Factory ...
