10 reviews for Dolphin Connection
Completely unprofessional
By Kim from Texas, 04/26/09
We drove a couple hours from our location to take part in this experience. We arrived early just because we had miscalculated our time to travel and ended up having some fun in Corpus Christi before our allotted time. We never received a phone call that the weather was too bad to go out- so we were excited to go see some dolphins. About 15 mins prior to our tour time, the man from the company called us and asked if we could go out earlier. Thrilled, we said we were early, so we could be there in 5 mins. When we arrived, the guide arrived 10 mins later and said that it was a "no go" because he could not even bring the boat around. The skies were overcast, but the wind was not more than 10 mph- which indicated to me that the boat we would be taking out was tiny. We were of course disappointed and told this man that we were. He said earlier in the morning, the waves were much calmer and he wished we had called him because we could have gone out earlier. We said, we really wished he had called us, because we happened to arrive earlier that morning due to miscalculating the traffic etc. We got in our car and were ready to leave, when he popped out of his car and knocked on my window. When I rolled the window down, he said in an aggressive voice "Don't you ever call me again." He then stormed back to his car. I would never recommend making reservations with a company whose main guide was rude, unprofessional, and aggressive. His behavior was completely out of line and inexcusable. He also had called us 15 mins prior to our time and indicated that our excursion was ready to go, then could not get his boat around due to the "winds." My question is what vessel does he use to take people out when the winds were not that strong and the boat that is advertised on the website had never moved from the dock. This is false advertising. He has a very disrespectful attitude toward his clients. We were able to find another dolphin experience that same day that was ten times better than anything this one could be. No wonder this company only charges $25 per person. Beware.

High Light of our Vacation!!!
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 07/02/08
In a nut shell, this was the highlight of our vacation!!! We saw loads of dolphins and tour guide knew every one of them by name. They came up close to the boat and our children were able to interact with them in a very intimate way. It was everything could have hoped for. We will most definatly come back in the future! I give Dolphin Connection my highest recommendation.

The Ocean was great
By glo, 05/29/06
The water was real choppy, we did see a few dolphins and some babies too. The guide was very informative about dolphin life. We went out with him and his wife, she made the trip worthwhile..she would get so excited everytime a dolphin would come near, you would not have known she had been doing this for over 20 years. It would have been nice if some of the dolphins would have come up closer to the boat, they seem to have their own thing going on. Just seeing them in the water and free, made the trip...I wish the trip could have been longer, love the ride around in the gulf. Would for sure do it again.

The best time ever...
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/28/06
We are "dolphin crazy", so this was an excellent adventure for us. We got to see MANY dolphins up close and personal. They would come close to the boat and they seemed very comfortable. My kids said this was the best day of their lives.....that says it all!

awesome experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 09/26/05
We had a wonderful experience!! They were very informative, and the were able to point out at least 15-20 dolphins they knew. You could tell the dolphins were comftorable with them as well becuase they would swim right up to the boat. I thought it was well worth the time and money. I would definitly go back!!

sour
By Duhdle, 08/28/05
The guild insured we would see 80 to 150 dolphins during the tour. All we saw during the trip was around 20 dolphins and that was at a distant. This guild also repeated everything at least twice and degraded the Texas State Aquarium and Sea World for murdering hundreds of dolphins and killer whales. In the end he will try to sell T-shirts and a CDs from a vehicle's trunk at $15 a piece. If you do end up trying this so call attraction take only money or travelers checks for that’s all they take.

Beautiful Experience
By A Yahoo! Contributor, 05/01/05
This tour is a great alternative to the pathetic captive dolphin "dog and pony" show @ the Aquarium. Want to see real beauty? Watch an intelligent, sensitive animal in his natural environment--not a concrete and chlorinated tank!
