Orchard Country Winery, Fish Creek

We picked Lautenbach Orchard Country Winery and Market because we were in the area visiting Peninsula State Park and we wanted to pick apples. We were very delighted by what this orchard had to offer. The apples were good sized (though a little expensive), and the market was fabulous. We found all sorts of fresh baked pies, preserves, cheeses, juices, and (my personal favorite) an amazing selection of wines... there is even a free wine-tasting bar to try before you buy! Everything we bought there has, so far, been delicious. There's also a winery tour, an area in back which includes a patio to sit and eat, and a cherry pit spitting pit to test your pit-spitting prowess, not to mention a trolley tour that boards at this orchard... so it's all there! Peninsula State Park is a mile up the road, and you're practically a stone's-throw from the beautiful town center of Fish Creek. We had so much fun here. The only thing was that the apple orchard was a bit small, and the apples a bit expensive, but this didn't stop us from having a great time! We're going to come back next year and pick cherries!
