I just want to take some time to thank your staff for a wonderful afternoon! It was my dear friends 70th Birthday party and our waiter Matty fit in very well with our personalities and met all our needs and wants with a genuine smile. As always the food was wonderful but it was Matty s humor and wit that helped us have a great time! Many take time to complain about a place and service I just wanted to thank you all for a great time and a great celebration! Please give Matty our thanks again!!! Michael party of 12 :)
We went To Lucille's for my brothers 50 birthday there was 16 of us night started out ok, went down hill after that hour after being seated we were served bisquits and our drinks, then our oreder was taken. and then we sat and waited and waited and waited seems like it took another hour before we were servied our dinner. while spending all this time waiting trying to get our waitor's attention was impossible. it was like he didn't want to get us refills or anything. food came our waitor went on break and never returned. we had 2 fill in waitors who did a crapy job getting us anything. like extra silver ware it was horrable and food was ok over priced. and then the bill came the charge you a 17% tip you have no choice. We will never go back. $90.00 for sandwiches. we asked what happened to our waitor they said oh he went home. thumbes down......
I have to admit that Lucilles is a bit too pricey thats why we only go a few times a year, the food is really good . You must try the collard greens if you are into that ,they are sooooo good. The last time we were there we ordered baked potatoes with all the fixins ,they failed to tell us that the cheese and bacon was 1.50 extra for each potato ,I noticed it when I got the bill(come on guys REALLY). The restaurant wasnt too busy but our food took awhile to arrive.
My husband and I order the combo plate and share it , its 30 bux. Basically you should have at least a 100 bux in your wallet if you have a party of 3 or 4. You dont leave hungry but it costs ya.
Restaurant is way overpriced for substandard tasting ribs. BBQ sauce is nothing special. It will cost you $25.95 for a full rack of ribs that frankly taste better elsewhere. My daughter had a kids meal and it comes with a sode. The waitress decided to give her a adult size soda and then tried to charge me adult price for it. She was annoyed when I brought it to her attention. She said well she had a adult glass and I said to her well I never ordered that. The restaurant was extremely loud not worth the price.
I Called when they opened to make reservations that evening at least 6 hours in advance and I was told reservations had to be 24 hours in advance. Not when unexpected company is arriving!!! I guess we'll take our party of 9 elsewhere...
I went there yesterday with two co-workers. It was my first time there, and also will be my last. Terrible expereince. I had the Ceaser's Salad and Clam Chowder. The soup was OK but the salad was swimming in dressing and was uneditable. When the warm towels were brought out after the meal there was a large hair in them. Very gross, will never to there again, and I would like to advise others to stay away too.
Worst dining experience of my life. Party of 6, four were served two of us were left wondering. Food finally came for two of us after the other four had finished. My dish was ice cold and the other late dish was wrong.
honest revue,,,, well place wasnt too loud. didnt quite like the its happy hours attempt to lure someone to the bar, a cheap attempt to sell drinks while u wait for a table. ok so we go to our table.,.. . i gotta admit waiters are really good at their job. kinda fake but really good waiters. and worth a good tip .
food was excellent. it is the claim jumpers of ribs. they cut no corners. nice full size of ribs not shaved or squared off like other rib places. portions of sides are really small. cmon give me a big slop of mash pototes. !!! mac and cheese was ok, the 30.00 meal deal is alot of food. enough for 4 people ,, so dont get stuffed like we did.
its a little pricy but if you got a little extra dough you get what you pay for .......and yes it was well worth it. plenty of leftovers with the 30.00 meal deal. good rootbeer btw.
You've got to be kidding me? I find it hard to believe so many people rate this place so high. Since this was my first time, and I love so many meats, I had to get a combo. Maybe that was the mistake. I ordered a tri tip and Louisiana spare rib combo ($24.95) with the vegetable medley and bake beans as sides, a glass of their house Cabernet. When the platter came I about winced at how ridicously little meat was on this platter. But with the bread (average), and the sides, there was plenty of food to fill up. the Tri tip was only a few small thinly cut slices. I am just not crazy about thin slices of tri tip, tri-tip should be cut thick. On top of that is was rather dry. The ribs were not spare ribs they were baby back ribs and they screwed that up. I should have sent it back but I hate doing that unless the food is inedible. The ribs I ordered dry because I had tasted their sauces on the table and they were way way too SWEET or pungent (vinegary). Nevertheless the ribs were cooked dry, and they were rather meatless really. I've had friends do better slow smoked bbg on their Qs back home.
My girlfriend had the fried chicken and mashed potatoes with vegetable medley. She did not think highly of any it. The mashed potatoes were in a big unsightly pile (fine if you are a food trough-ie). The chicken was pounded breasts and bland. She didn' t like the vegie medly because one of the ingredients - the carrots, were mush. All in all, at about $30 per person, this is another place I can afford not to bother with again, and it always amazes me how such mediocrity can be so highly rated by so many people.
